Allison and Shane's E-Session

Allison and Shane live in England, so needless to say, they travelled pretty far for these engagement photos! Ok, ok. They were actually visiting Allison's family, so they didn't technically travel all this way just for pictures, but it was great that they managed to find some time for me to snap some, and to make the most of the beautiful Spring weather whilst they were in Philadelphia.
Allison had mentioned that they both like city parks and brick walls, so we started our e-session in Rittenhouse park, and meandered around from there.
Here are a few of my favorites.

They'll be getting married in December this year. Can't wait for their wedding!

holy HAIR!

I had the pleasure of shooting this series a few months back for the incredibly talented hairstylist Bethany 'Queen B' Bell and have been eagerly awaiting the day when I could share it with you all. The beautiful models (in order shown below) were Erin Bakes, Vanessa Banks, Gerube Valdez and Rachael Platt. The shoot took over 12 hours since these looks were so complicated to construct, and Bethany actually created all these hairstyles and did all the makeup by herself!
The concept was to make these ladies look like mannequins, so I did a lot of post production to these images to help achieve that look and Michael operated a smoke machine in the background to try and create some drama.

It was a long day, but all the hard work, time and effort was worth it for these pretty pictures!

Rebecca & Andre's North Carolina Wedding.

Last week, we traveled down to the serenely beautiful Nags Head, North Carolina to shoot Rebecca and Andre's beach inspired wedding.
Rebecca and her family have been vacationing there for years, so it only seemed appropriate to add yet another precious memory to a place that already holds so many for them.

We spent the morning flip-flopping (hey, it's a beach wedding, that word is entirely appropriate here!) between Rebecca and Andre as they got ready for the day, then headed down to the beach for their 'first look' and some windy but beautiful beach portraits. Then it was off to the church for the "I do's", followed by a night of dancing, delicious food, cake cutting, bouquet tossing, garter throwing, sparkler lighting fun (which I will blog about later once I've finished editing!).
The whole day was so fun and romantic, and both Rebecca, Andre and their family are all such warm and welcoming people that it felt as though I was photographing old friends.

Thank you so much Rebecca and Andre for allowing Michael and I to be a part of your special day and for being so insanely accommodating to the both of us. We both feel as though we've gained some new, amazing friends out of the whole experience. We hope you love your photos as much as we do, and are having an amazing time on your honeymoon!

Lindsay & Ian's March Wedding.

It was such a pleasure to photograph Lindsay and Ian's simple and intimate wedding at Moorestown Community House in March.
They decided to do a 'first look' which gave me plenty of time to capture some intimate portraits of the two of them, which are probably some of my favorite pictures from the day since they just radiate the love that they share.
They did away with many of the usual traditions for a wedding (no speeches, formal seating arrangements, cake cutting or bouquet toss), and instead focused on having a fun reception filled with dancing, (including choreographed bride and groom and bride and father dances!), a huge selection of food to eat, and delicious pies for dessert.

Thank you Lindsay and Ian for allowing me to be a part of your special day. You're both such sweet, and easy going people, and there is so much love between you! I wish you both the best of luck.
