abandoned buildings, winter days and published work.

Some of my work was recently published in Vocess Magazine's Spring issue.
The funny thing about shooting work for a Spring issue, which features Spring clothing specifically designed for warmer weather, is that you have to shoot them before Spring. All of these images were shot on a very chilly Winter's day, when the snow was still attached firmly to the ground. Our location was an old, dilapidated building, with missing walls and windows, and was therefore as brutally cold inside, as it was outside. The building is nestled amongst an abandoned shipping yard right along the Delaware River's edge, and was as beautiful and interesting as it was c-c-c-cold.
The lovely, patient and now slightly frost bitten models were Jordana Jagdeo, Gerube Valdez, Whitney Star, Myke Robb and Vanessa Banks. Hair and makeup was done by Bethany Bell, Candace Whaley of Authentic8ke Style did the styling, and all dresses were supplied by Shay of Scripted Designs who is the featured designer in the issue.

Thank you to everyone that was a part of this day! I know it was cold. Brutally cold. Teeth chattering, goosebump worthy cold. Did I mention how cold it was!? but I think we worked together as a team exceptionally well, and all the models did a great job of hiding their torment in the bitter, Winter weather.

Check out vocessmag.com to get a better look of the images (pages 24-26).
